Water for Life

Hello baby...

WATER FOR LIFE

Water is a chemical substance with the chemical formula H2O. Its molecule contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms connected by covalent bonds. Water is a liquid at ambient conditions, but it often co-exists on Earth with its solid state, ice, and gaseous state (water vaporor steam). Water also exists in a liquid crystal state near hydrophilic surfaces. We are all living on this planet, Earth. Almost 3/4 of our planet is covered by water. That is why Earth is often called "the planet of water." Water covers 70.9% of the Earth's surface, and is vital for all known forms of life. On Earth, it is found mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation. Oceans hold 97% of surface water, glaciers and polar ice caps 2.4%, and other land surface water such as rivers, lakes and ponds 0.6%.
Water is very important for our life, 98% of water is sea water and it's too salty for us to use. Moreover, since most of this remaining 2% freshwater is ice, less than 0.3% of water on Earth is directly available to us. But our precious water is getting dirty. Human beings, animals and plants, all living creatures on Earth need water to live and grow. We all take water. Do you know that around 65% of our body is made out of water? (water in buffalo body is 72%, in fish is 67%, in chicken is 70%, and bananas contain 76% of water). Water is a solvent that is important for living things and is an important part in the process of metabolism. Water is also needed in photosynthesis and respiration. Water is used in many ways in our life such as for agriculture and household use.
But on the other hand, water also has negative side in our lives. Where the negative side is caused by our activity. For example, are global warming which causes the increase of geothermal water at the poles melt and thus became one of the causes of flooding,   and water pollution that causes the water supply is reduced so that there are some problems and diseases caused by dirty water.
So, from this situation we are required to do to keep our water clean and safe. Because  water is source of life and very important in our life.

MAIN BODY

Water is very important and has many function in our life. But according to the natural law, “negative side is always together with positive side”. There are some disaster that caused by water. For example is dirty water that can causes many diseases.
What's making water dirty?
We saw how much we depend on water in our daily life. On the other hand, we unconsciously cause a lot of damage to the water every day. The amount of pollutants each person puts in the water may be small. Yet if everyone does the same, every day, soon there will be no clean safe water left.
Here are some examples of water pollution :
-         Using chemical detergent and not having proper waste water management.
-         Throwing garbage into the river.
-         Human and animal wastes near the well.
-         Spraying chemical pesticides.
-         Besides all this, factories put a lot of pollutants into the river and oceans.
Polluted water causes trouble
As a result of water pollution, we face many problems. When we drink polluted water, and/or eat fish from polluted rivers, we may have fever, vomit, and have diarrhea. River water will be spoiled and fish will die. Fish and other creatures will be deformed because of chemicals. Dirty water could cause many problems for every living creature. We have to prevent water pollution and keep our water clean and safe.
Flooding
A flood is an overflow of an expanse of water that submerges land. The EU Floods directive defines a flood as a temporary covering by water of land not normally covered by water. In the sense of "flowing water", the word may also be applied to the inflow of the tide. Flooding may result from the volume of water within a body of water, such as a river or lake, which overflows or breaks levees, with the result that some of the water escapes its usual boundaries.
While the size of a lake or other body of water will vary with seasonal changes in precipitation and snow melt, it is not a significant flood unless such escapes of water endanger land areas used by man like a village, city or other inhabited area.
Floods can also occur in rivers, when flow exceeds the capacity of the river channel, particularly at bends or meanders. Floods often cause damage to homes and businesses if they are placed in natural flood plains of rivers. While flood damage can be virtually eliminated by moving away from rivers and other bodies of water, since time out of mind, people have lived and worked by the water to seek sustenance and capitalize on the gains of cheap and easy travel and commerce by being near water. That humans continue to inhabit areas threatened by flood damage is evidence that the perceived value of living near the water exceeds the cost of repeated periodic flooding.
The floods have characteristics and effect, such as :
-         Floods usually occur during heavy rain that fell continuously throughout the day.
-         Water flooded places with a certain height.
-         Floods can cause runoff of houses, plants, animals and humans.
-         Floods eroded the soil surface, causing soil sediment in low places.
-         Floods can mendangkalkan river, pond, or lake.
-         After the flood, the environment becomes dirty by soil sediment and trash.
-         Floods can cause fatalities, serious injuries, minorinjuries, or loss of people.
-         Floods can cause a big loss, both morally and materially.

In general, the causes of flooding are :
-         Illegal logging without reforestation
-         Silting of the river
-         Indiscriminate disposal of waste, either into the river mutual cooperation
-         Making water channels which are not eligible
-         Making the dike is less good
-         Sea water, rivers or lakes that overflowed and flooded the land.
There are many disruptive effects of flooding on human settlements and economic activities. However, floods (in particular the more frequent/smaller floods) can bring many benefits, such as recharging ground water, making soil more fertile and providing nutrients in which it is deficient. Flood waters provide much needed water resources in particular in arid and semi-arid regions where precipitation events can be very unevenly distributed throughout the year. Freshwater floods in particular play an important role in maintaining ecosystems in river corridors and are a key factor in maintaining floodplain biodiversity. Flooding adds a lot of nutrients to lakes and rivers which leads to improved fisheries for a few years, also because of the suitability of a floodplain for spawning (little predation and a lot of nutrients). Fish like the weather fish make use of floods to reach new habitats. Together with fish also birds profit from the boost in production caused by flooding.

What to do to keep our water clean and safe
A little effort in our daily life can keep our water safe and clean :
·         Putting garbage into a bin and separating it into organic and other garbage.
·         Keeping garbage dump and toilet away from the water source.
·         Making a proper sewage system and reducing the use of chemical detergent by switching to organic soap (soap made by natural ingredients).
·         Cleaning the river and its surroundings.
·         Organic waste to make compost.
·         Planting trees on the river bank to prevent soil from being washed away.
·         Practicing organic farming and using fewer agricultural chemicals.

Okay, that are the drawback of water. Then, lets we discuss about the benefits of water.
Water is the first source of life for humans, animals and plants. There are so many benefits that can be provided by the water for the human body, between the descriptions as follows.
Water Works Magically, when you drink plenty of clean and clear water, then it will spur improvement of your health, where the researchers found that, increasingly drinking water can give many benefits in sufficient amounts for health, including : Make Digestion and metabolism better, Improving the ability and endurance, Hold hungry, Reduce the risk of several kinds of diseases, Powerful weapon against colds or runny nose, The most powerful facial moisturizer, Counteract fatigue due to travel, and Overcoming migraine or headache. That are some benefits of dringking water, Now let’s discuss that one by one.
Make Digestion and metabolism better. Drinking water in sufficient quantities to make good digestion and metabolism to work at maximum capacity. In fact, recent research from the University of Utah, stated that water shortages could lead to decreased metabolism. Improving the ability and endurance. You will be able to work harder or weight when you get enough water. In addition, water can strengthen your immune system. Because water can raise the deposit glycogen, a form of carbohydrate stored in muscles and used as energy when you work.
Hold hungry.Sometimes hunger is the impersonation of thirst. When you become dehydrated (lack of water) you may feel like eating when what you really need is water. You can also use the satiety effects of drinking water for prevent overeating. Reduce the risk of several kinds of diseases. Researchers now believe that liquid water, or rather to play an active role in reducing the risk of some diseases such as kidney stones, urinary tract cancer, bladder cancer, and colon cancer (colon). Drinking enough water can also prevent constipation.
Powerful weapon against colds or runny nose. Antibodies in the mucus lining the esophagus serves to trap cold viruses. Durability will be weakened if you are dehydrated (water shortage) because it will cause the mucus to dry. For the record many health professionals recommend water as an effective expectorant to reduce coughing.
The most powerful facial moisturizer. By drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin supple and firm and reduce lines and wrinkles on the face. Counteract fatigue due to travel.Hot air can cause dehydration and will cause you to fatigue during and after the trip. Drink plenty of water before traveling and one glass every hour of your trip. Overcoming migraine / headache. The researchers say that dehydration can lead to migraine / headache, so if you experience frequent migraine is very important to drink water in sufficient quantities.
While the main function of water are :
1. Forming new cells, maintain and replace cells that deer
2. Dissolve and bring nutrients, oxygen and hormones to cells throughout the body that require
3. Dissolve and remove the rubbish and toxins from the body
4. Catalyst in the metabolism
5. Lubricants for joints
6. Stabilize body temperature
7. Reduce the impact of vital organs
By using enough water, especially drinking, your body will always be fresh and health is maintained.

CONCLUSION
Water is needed for life, whether human life, animals, and plants, all highly dependent on water. This is because water has a lot of very major functions in the body. The main functions of water in the body are:

That was a major function of water in the body, you can imagine how when we are short of water. Surely our bodies will have problems when we perform daily activities - day. However, the water utility not only this. There are many benefits that we get when we drink plenty of water. Such as helping the digestive process and metabolism, memperbaki ability and endurance, reduce the risk of various diseases, and many more advantages if we consume lots of water.

In other side, water can be a disaster for life in this earth. There are some disaster that caused by water :
1.      Dirty water that can causes many diseases.
2.      Polluted water causes trouble.
When we drink polluted water, and/or eat fish from polluted rivers, we may have fever, vomit, and have diarrhea. River water will be spoiled and fish will die. Fish and other creatures will be deformed because of chemicals. Dirty water could cause many problems for every living creature.
3.      Flood
a.       Floods can cause runoff of houses, plants, animals and humans.
b.      Floods eroded the soil surface, causing soil sediment in low places.
c.       Floods can mendangkalkan river, pond, or lake.
d.      After the flood, the environment becomes dirty by soil sediment and trash.
e.       Floods can cause fatalities, serious injuries, minor injuries, or loss of people.
f.       Floods can cause a big loss, both morally and materially.

All of that are the advantages and the kerugian which is caused by water. The advantages or the loss of water can befall us depended how we treat water. If We treat water, the water will take care of us, and whereas, if we destroy the water, the water will give damage to us. So, be careful with water, we have to conserve water in order water conserve us.
